Omotesando Koffee’s signature cubic frame - the kube - has long stood as an icon: a minimalist stage for the ritual of coffee. As our collaboration with the brand evolves, the new site within the open space in Pacific Place offered an opportunity to reimagine how the kube might assert its presence amid the surrounding bustle, while remaining unmistakably Omotesando Koffee.
Building a calm, natural backdrop within this lively environment became central to our design approach. A dark-stained oak box anchors the space - warm and grounded - allowing the nickel-finished kiosk to emerge as a sculptural focal point. The dialogue between wood and metal introduces a measured contrast, celebrating both material integrity and the brand’s refined sensibility.
To one side, a merchandise wall extends the visual narrative, where black-coated steel and profiled stained oak intertwine to articulate a confident brand expression. Adjacent to the atrium, a gently curved seating area - featuring a bespoke modular sofa and armchair designed by Studio Adjective - unfolds as a serene lounge, offering a refined setting for unhurried moments or informal meetings.
