Designed by Studio Adjective, this refined three-legged stool embodies the core principles of Ishinomaki Lab’s ethos: simplicity, craftsmanship, and a quiet sophistication. Each angle is meticulously considered, seamlessly blending minimalist design with an enduring, natural elegance.

Constructed from just six precisely cut pieces of Japanese Red Cedar, the stool’s form is as inventive as it is intentional. Three minimal legs - one gently slanted at a 7-degree angle - enhance the structure's stability while establishing a distinct character. The design is further refined through a bespoke fixing technique, reducing unnecessary elements and ensuring that every detail serves a purposeful function.

The Tripodal Stool extends its reach across the globe through Ishinomaki Laboratory’s Made in Local programme. By collaborating with skilled artisans worldwide, the initiative preserves the essence of the brand’s craftsmanship while embracing diverse regional woods, each version carrying a unique narrative of place and material.
