Tencent Doctorswork is redefining digital healthcare in China, seamlessly integrating Internet-powered innovation with high-quality medical services. Founded through a collaboration between Tencent, GAW Capital, Medlinker, and Sequoia Capital China, it pioneers a new model of accessible, top-tier health management for the general public.
Designed by Studio Adjective, the physical clinic concept takes shape across three flagship locations - Beijing, Chengdu, and Shenzhen - each spanning approximately 10,000 sq. ft. These clinics serve as more than just medical facilities; they function as collaborative spaces where doctors engage in consultations, academic discussions, and research, while the public gains access to essential medical goods.
A core principle of the design is to foster tranquility and privacy, setting Tencent Doctorswork apart from conventional clinics. Inspired by nature, fluid pathways replace rigid hallways, guiding patients through a calming journey enhanced by soft lighting and greenery. These meandering paths extend into communal areas, seamlessly transitioning into waiting lounges, clinics, service stations, and co-working spaces for medical professionals. By minimising sharp corners and embracing organic movement, the design cultivates a sense of ease and comfort—transforming healthcare into a holistic, restorative experience.
